Punta de Mita and Punta Mita, an exclusive tradition and luxury combination
Before we get started on this adventure, it should be noted that Punta de Mita is a coastal town, Punta Mita, that has some of the most luxurious resorts and residences, is a private development. Together they are a great destination where tradition and exclusiveness mix.
Both located in the Riviera Nayarit, these destinations are on a small peninsula, facing the Pacific Ocean surrounded by green hills and tropical jungle, they have perfect weather almost all year round.
Punta de Mita
Home to a rustic town called Corral del Risco, full of accommodation options, boutiques, cafes and restaurants, Punta de Mita is the place of artisans, merchants and fishermen. It has evolved over the years and it currently offers one of the highest capital gains in all of Banderas Bay. Luxury resorts, with essential services and amenities to satisfy the most demanding of guests have been built along its coast.
It has some of the most beautiful beaches: La Lancha, Playa Punta de Mita and El Anclote, perfect for snorkeling and stand up paddle, also great as a starting point to visit the Islas Marietas National Park and well known “Playa del amor”, an ecological sanctuary and Biosphere Reserve a few kilometers away. There’s also tourists going from this beach to search for humpback whales between the months of December and March.
Punta Mita
On the other hand, Punta Mita is an exclusive and luxurious place built on a peninsula surrounded by green hills extending for almost ten kilometers of virgin beaches. Punta Mita is famous for its international luxury hotel brands amongst which are the Four Seasons and The St. Regis there’s also exclusive residences such as Palmasola and Villa Tesoro.
It’s the favorite of billionaires and Hollywood stars, Bill Gates and many other Silicon Valley tycoons have residences there. It offers privacy and tranquility to its visitors as well as everything necessary to live a vacation away from any problem or the harassment of the paparazzi.
Kim Kardashian is in love with Punta Mita, she has visited the place on several occasions in the company of her sisters and her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Selena Gómez, Beyoncé, Richard Gere, Eva Longoria have also been there.
Golf lovers will be able to practice their best swing in two formidable courses, Punta Mita Bahía and Punta Mita Pacífico where hole 3-B known as “Whale Tail” is located, its green is on a natural islet, unique in the world. Both courses were designed by Jack Nicklaus.
